We are excited for your interest in Design! We have a dedicated team eager to support Stanford undeclared undergraduates at whatever stage they are at in exploring our major. Many students face similar questions, worries, challenges, and wonderings about our academic program and processes. We’re here to help you get started!

Enroll in an Introductory Design Class

Still determining if Design is right for you? Take our DESIGN 1 or DESIGN 11 classes.
d.school elective classes and IntroSems are also great ways to explore different facets of design.

Refer to Sample 4-Year Plans

Refer to our Sample 4-year Plans for guidance on completing your Program Sheet. Declared students get priority into required core classes, and can even be automatically enrolled in core classes, which really streamlines enrollment for students! You won’t have a guaranteed place in required core classes without being declared.
